Kevin Powe - Voice Over Actor

Ever been told to increase your breath support but don’t know what that means?

Does your voice fatigue or strain easily with extended use?

Do you feel unsure on how to use your voice fully or how it actually works?

Do you feel your voice is unpredictable causing you to lose your confidence?

If you answered yes to any of the above, great!

Then this course is for you.

People usually become voice over artists because they have been told they have nice voice or they have an acting background. This is wonderful! But what often gets missed is an understanding of how the voice works and how to use it to its fullest AND in a safe way. This can lead to vocal difficulties which can prevent you from working or excelling in your career. Nobody wants this!

I have put all my love, thought and attention into this course to make sure it is the best practice it can be for you and your vocal development.

Not a voice over artist? No problem!

About the ‘Breath and Vocal Stamina Course’

Why did I create this course?

To help voice over artists understand the fundamental mechanics of their voice so they can use it more fully in a professional setting and discover more about their vocal skill.

Who is the course for?

For voice over artists who want to enhance their breath support and increase their vocal stamina. You can have experience in voice or be brand new - anything is perfect!

“Take all the guess work out of voicing, Tessa will guide you the whole time”

This course is for those struggling with their breathing while recording or speaking.

For those who run out of air, or even have loud breathing habits. It is also for those who are experiencing some tension in their voice or body while voicing or finding that their voice can get tired or ‘run out’ easily.

This course teaches fundamental breath and voice practices that will be able to help you as a voice professional sustain your voice for longer. Leading to greater vocal exploration and play in the future.

This course is based in the physicality of voice, what the voice feels like being produced in the body not how your ears perceive it.

What this course is not.

This course is not a replacement for vocal therapy or intervention. This is for primarily healthy voice users to expand their knowledge and skill. If you are experiencing difficulty with your voice please consider seeing a speech therapist or an ear, nose, throat specialist. You can do this by contacting your general health doctor.

If you have any serious physical injuries, previous vocal injuries or any other conditions that may inhibit your participation, please email Tessa first before signing up .

This course has been vetted by speech and language therapists, voice specialists, professional voice over artists, and evidence based practice singing teachers and vocal coaches from America, Australia and New Zealand. It was also tested with ‘BVS (Breath and Vocal Stamina) Trial Participants’. All of which experienced vocal benefits.

“You hear "breathe into your diaphragm" and "project from your diaphragm" a lot when doing things that involve voice, but you're never really taught what that means. Tessa's program breaks it all down for you in a fun and easy-to-digest way, and will help you understand your own body and how it feels to speak clearly, effectively, and sustainably.”

  • "Doing this course gave me confidence with my voice. Before this, I didn’t know why I was having an off voicing day. Now I can identify why it’s happening and feel confident that I can manage it or warm up correctly to help it."

  • "It's actually crazy. I remember singing a song (not well) before taking this class. It was a song that takes a lot of air out of me and I'd always stop for breath throughout the song. After the class had ended I sang that same song again (still not well), but I was shocked that I didn't have ANY breath control issues. It's unbelievable how only a few weeks of practice can make this much of a difference!"

    Connor - Voice Over Artist

  • "Tessa made the voice and how it works so easy to understand. I have been singing and doing voice classes for years and no one has broken it down the way Tessa did. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she made voice work simple and accessible."
